July 30, 2013 (Chinavestor)The Shanghai Composite Index (SHA:000001) rose 13.8 points or 0.7% on Tuesday as value investors stepped forward. All but three out of the 50 largest components of the broad index advanced. Institutional buyers bought large cap Chinese stocks ahead of key data.
But investors exercised caution in Hong Kong where trading was mixed. The Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI) rose 0.5% but stocks that advanced did not outnumber those that fell among components of the 50 member index.
