April 12, 2013 (Chinavestor) Stocks fell in China on Friday ahead of GDP numbers next week. The Shanghai Composite Index (SHA:000001) declined 12.8 points or 0.6% and is off for the third week in row. Stocks pared better in Hong Kong where the Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI) shed 12.2points or 0.1% for the day.
The decline was universal in Hong Kong as well as in Shanghai. Stock that fell outnumbered those that advanced five to one among components of the Hang Seng Index.
