August 6, 2012 (Chinavestor) Chinese stocks soared in Hong Kong on Monday as outlook for the global economy improved. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDEJX:.DJI) rose 217.3 points with all but one component of the 30 member index advancing. A similarly broad advance took place in Hong Kong where all but one component of the 42 member Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI) advanced. Coal stocks took the lead in Hong Kong with Yanzhou Coal Mining (HKG:1171) surging 3.9% for the day. China Shenhua Energy (HKG:1088), the largest coal miner in China, rose 1.7%.
