April 24, 2012 (Chinavestor) Chinese stocks were looking for direction on Tuesday after a steep decline on Monday. The Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI) advanced 52.8 points or 0.3% while the Shanghai Composite Index (SHA:000001) was virtually unchanged. China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670) bounced back up the most among components of the Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI). Bottom fishing lifted shares of Aluminum Corp. of China (HKG:2600) as well.
But investors were looking for housing stats and earnings from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to set tone for markets world wide.
