The rally was universal in Shanghai, stocks that rose outnumbered those that fell ten to one. Hong Kong was more balanced but airliners continued to show strength. Air China (HKG:0753), China's flagship carrier, rose 2.8 percent while China Eastern Airlines (HKG:0670) and China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) edged higher. Chinese real estate stocks continued to feel the pain just as did insurers.
Index futures point to a higher opening for U.S. stocks and Chinese ADRs alike.
