(Sept. 15, 2009 - Chinavestor) China Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (NYSE:LFC) reported total premium income of RMB210.7 billion ($30.85 billion) for the first eight months of 2009. This represents an increase of RMB19.6 billion from a month ago, a small increase compared to July 2009.

But premium income growth has been sluggish for China's largest life insurer, putting pressure on the stock price. Share price of China Life (NYSE:LFC) is up 44.7% YTD on the NYSE.
