November 25, 2013 (Chinavestor)Now that the Dow closed above 16,000 for the first time ever, it is interesting to see what Chinese ADRs followed suit the best. Chinese financial, consumer durable, transportation and energy stocks did not disappoint while capital goods and utilities lagged.
China Life Insurance (NYSE:LFC) and China Finance Online (NASDAQ:JRJC) are primarily responsible for the overall superb performance of the financial sector.
Unfortunately for investors, the consumer non-cyclical sector is represented by small cap stocks that have low trading quality.
But transportation stocks are interesting and of better quality as well. Chinese airliners did very well last week, lifting overall sector performance. But most airliners became overbought and thus are subject to a technical correction.
