Solar stocks were prized by traders on Tuesday, with Trina Solar (NYSE:TSL) leading the large-cap winners with a gain of 6.6%. JA Solar (Nasdaq:JASO) was strong as well, gaining more than 5%. Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE) jumped almost 4% and LDK Solar (NYSE:LDK) and Suntech Power (NYSE:STP) were both up more than 3%.

There weren't a lot of big losers among large-caps, but we do see a lot familiar names. Silvercorp Metals (NYSE:SVM) and 51job (Nasdaq:JOBS) both tumbled by more than 3%. China Integrated Energy (Nasdaq:CBEH) plunged almost 8% on no news and Winner Medical Group (Nasdaq:WWIN) slumped more than 8% on extremely light volume. Fuqi International (Nasdaq:FUQI) continued its bearish ways, slumping more than 9% on almost twice the average daily volume. Those declines pale in comparison to the 12% dropped endured by Gushan Environmental (NYSE:GU). Volume was light in that name and there was no news to point to to explain the bearish trade.
