Markets forgive AAPL but BIDU

April 25, 2012 (Chinavestor) Shares of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) surged as much as $56 or 10% after hours after the company revealed latest financials. It was solid Q2 earnings that sold the story for the world largest company by market value. As far as outlook is concerned, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) issued numbers below analyst estimates. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) expects revenues to be $34 billion for the upcoming quarter vs. $37 expected. But that doesn't seem to matter.

What's interesting for China stock investors is how much market participants are finicky about Baidu (NASDAQ:BIDU). The company came out short on guidance, a thing the company always does. Baidu.com Inc. (NASDAQ:BIDU) estimates to generate $847.2 million to $867.0 million in sales compared to expectations of $860.16 million.
