January 30, 2012 (Chinavestor) There is a lot of upside potential for Chinese transportation stocks according to our money flow analysis. China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) jumped over $2 a share on December 10 with huge underlying volume causing an unusual uptick on the money flow chart. other stocks of interest include Seaspan Corp. (NYSE:SSW) and China Eastern Airlines (NYSE:CEA) from the transportation sector.
But it's not just a one time gain, as the following chart suggests. Money flow remained strong ever since, suggesting institutional investors are buying Chinese airliners and possible China Seaspan Corp. (NYSE:SSW) on the cheap.
China Eastern Airlines (NYSE:CEA) is trading at $19.06 right now, far off of $25 a year ago. China Southern Airlines (NYSE:ZNH) is at $27.07, slightly above January 2011 level.
