Profits taking sinks HK after record January

narrow_range2 February 1, 2012 (Chinavestor) China stocks took a breather in Asia on the first day of February after a record run a month before. The Hang Seng Index (INDEXHANGSENG:.HSI) surged more than 10% in January but pulled back 57.1 points or 0.3% on Wednesday. A broad sell-off hit mainland shares where the Shanghai Composite Index (SHA:000001) fell 24.5 points or 1.1%.
