Petrochina (NYSE:PTR) declared dividend last month followed by Huaneng Power (NYSE:HNP) and Yanzhou Coal (NYSE:YZC). High dividend paying China stock offer a double play: price appreciation and cash from dividend. But how much do Chinese stocks pay? Take a look at the following chart and table.

HSBC Plc (NYSE:HBC), the largest bank in Europe, might surprise you to be on the list. But HSBC is a Hang Seng Index <.HSI> heavy weight, the second largest stock of the index after China Mobile (Hong Kong) Ltd. (NYSE:CHL) (HKG:0941). Not surprisingly, banks pay high dividend to offset slower growth potential.
Energy companies come next, Yanzhou Coal (NYSE:YZC) and oil. Telecoms do relatively well and one online game developer and operator, Giant Interactive (NYSE:GA) is paying a sound 2% plus dividend as well.
Wish you successful investing!
